Bill Bean is President and Founder of Green Planning & Coaching (GP&C) and a Professional Career Coach and Strategic Business Consultant. In his 40+ year career he has developed hundreds of strategic and tactical business plans and often the teams to execute them. Since founding GP&C he helps companies and individuals “Build quick, convincing strategic plans for growth and success in their businesses and careers”. His proven, collaborative process delivers strategic plans that are ready to communicate and execute and that provide confidence, capital, market share and more. These plans highlight opportunities in green and sustainability which many consider to be the next business Megatrend.

Bill’s career began in 1975 in the Strategic Planning department of International Paper Company’s Wood Products Division Headquarters in Manhattan. He then gained 16 years of experience in commissioned sales, sales management, marketing management and a $150,000,000 Division Management responsibility. That was followed in 2000 by 4 years in the tech sector and 15 years in independent consulting with for profit and nonprofit organizations.
Bill has BBA and MS degrees from UMass, Amherst. He has combined that formal education with a “LEED® AP” and other “sustainability” credentials including a Permaculture Designer Certification (PDC) earned in 2014 which has led to speaking & consulting in the movement for more fresh local food. He also has professional certifications in Executive Coaching, Career Coaching and Retirement Career Coaching. Bill has served on 4 nonprofit boards in MA, and CA and is a US Army veteran, with 3 years of active duty at home and abroad.
Originally from Wellesley, MA, Bill works throughout North America and currently lives with his family in scenic Tyringham in the Berkshires of Western MA, and in Palmetto, FL.
